Can probiotics slow MS progression?

As those with MS know, the disease’s progression is unpredictable. Some people are diagnosed and go for years with little to no symptoms. Whereas others suffer from significant degradation even in early stages. We also don’t really know what causes the disease to accelerate or slow down. What Stefan (Jetson's co-founder who has MS) learned from his doctors is that environmental factors (including what you put in your body) can play a significant role in how MS symptoms.

With guidance by Stefan’s physician, Dr. Mark Hyman,  and focusing on his gut health, he manages to keep the disease at bay. All this is to say there is no one-size fits all, but focusing on minimizing inflammation-inducing foods and behaviors and modulating one’s immune system through proven probiotic strains will have an impact on your body. While there are no known reports of probiotics having negative health outcomes, it never is a bad idea to check in with your doctor before starting any supplements.
