What can I expect during the first few weeks of Jettie?

When your child starts Jettie, you’re introducing a whole host of beneficial microbes that should quickly begin to multiply in their digestive tract. These friendly flora work hard to crowd out the types of bacteria and yeast you don’t want in their body. That’s great news—however, while they are taking hold and colonizing the digestive system, your child might experience a little gas and changes in the frequency and texture of their bowel movements. This is totally normal as the body adjusts to these changes. For children over the age of 6 months, we recommend upping your child's fluid intake during this time.

Your child’s stomach will adapt and you’ll see (hear?smell?) less gas and things will settle. You might see more frequent or less frequent BMs (depending on their schedule) as the Body is adjusting to the new gut health. Better absorption of nutrients means their BMs become more efficient or better quality.
